Morris Black, the company’s founder, built his business by fostering strong relationships within the local community. His reputation for dependability and diverse quality goods allowed Morris Black to grow from a small building supply company to the large all-inclusive design company it is today. Recognizing how important the community’s support was to the company’s success, Morris and his two sons made it a point to give back. They dedicated their time to various Lehigh Valley organizations including the Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary, Congregation Brith Sholom, Lehigh Valley Industrial Parks, and the Boy Scouts.
A Family Value
Now run by third and fourth generations, Morris Black Kitchens community support is still a driving family value. Morris Black’s grandsons Ron Black (Retired President) and Bob Black (President) have upheld the family tradition by serving on numerous local boards such as the Girls and Boys Club, United Way of the Lehigh Valley, and SkillsUSA Council, just to name a few.
Company-Wide Involvement
Community support is not just a family affair; it’s ingrained in our company culture. Our employees actively volunteer with organizations like the Second Harvest Food Bank, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and many, many others.
