Kitchen Division

Senior Kitchen Designer: (Contact: Robert Black  robertblack@morrisblack.com)

High profile, 115 year old eastern PA firm with a reputation for quality and integrity looking for a seasoned kitchen and bath designer/sales professional. The ideal candidate will be a creative designer and have a thorough knowledge of all styles and price levels of semi-custom and custom cabinetry; have excellent presentation and sales-closing skills; and be comfortable interacting with high end clientele and with other allied professionals. Must understand all facets of interior design and residential remodeling. The firm represents many cabinet manufacturers, including Signature, Kahle’s, Kraftmaid, Yorktowne, as well as its own custom cabinetry.

The right candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in kitchen design and sales; and must be outgoing, unselfish, a team player, fluent in 2020 design, as well as hand drawing. Seeking a kitchen and bath designer to assist our senior designers and their clients with design, pricing, presentation drawings, and ordering on higher end custom remodeling projects.  The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of all styles and price levels of semi-custom and custom cabinetry and be accomplished in 2020 computer-aided design.  AutoCAD, hand drawing, and color rendering experience a plus. The firm represents many cabinet manufacturers, including Signature, Kahle’s, Kraftmaid, and Yorktowne, as well as our own manufactured custom cabinetry.  Should have at least 2 years’ experience in kitchen/bath design.  The right candidate must be outgoing, unselfish, a team player, and an organized multi-tasker.

Insulation Division

Seeking self-motivated, organized, and dependable individuals to install fiberglass insulation year-round in new and old homes; must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work; Needs to be willing to work as part of a team and must be highly flexible; English a plus, but not needed.  Starting at competitive wages with the opportunity for piece rate and overtime pay. Great earning potential for someone willing to work hard.  Be ready to work day after hire.  Learn a new trade, start a career!  Starting wage 18.00 per hour.

Casework Division

Seeking qualified individuals for full time employment in casework/millwork manufacturing facility; Several positions open for production panel processing, laminate countertop fabrication, cabinetmaking, and custom millwork; Must have good attitude and strong work ethic. Must be available to work overtime. Ability to lift 50 lbs required. Prefer prior experience or related background but will train the right candidate.

Seeking qualified finish carpenters, with general carpentry skills, needed to install commercial cabinetry and millwork as well as residential kitchens and baths; Must be comfortable on general construction jobsites and also experienced with residential remodeling. Expert craftsmanship required for custom cabinetry, countertops, veneer panels, and multiple-step trim work. Must have good attitude and strong work ethic. Ability to lift 50 lbs required. Must be available to work overtime.

Seeking reliable carpenter helpers to assist casework installation crews on commercial jobs; Must have own transportation and ability to lift 50 lb. minimum; Must have good attitude and strong work ethic. Must be available to work overtime. Some carpentry experience preferred but willing to train the right person.

** Casework Shop Materials Expeditor:  (Contact: Chuck Buchsbaum cbuchsbaum@morrisblack.com)

Seeking a responsible, mature individual with warehousing and/or production experience to coordinate the flow of work and materials between the warehouse and manufacturing work stations in commercial casework/millwork shop.  Must be able to handle materials and operate a forklift.  Responsibilities include moving incoming materials from staging/receiving areas to assigned production work stations, fulfilling materials requisitions from shop personnel, and performing periodic cycle-counting to monitor stock inventory levels.  Must be an organized multi-tasker with excellent communication skills who works well in team environment.

Seeking AutoCAD drafting/engineers to create architectural shop drawings, as well as process jobs for manufacturing using Microvellum software.  Experience preferable, but willing to train if candidate is AutoCAD-competent, able to read commercial blueprints, or familiar with commercial casework fabrication; and is well organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.   Should possess strong computer skills and have a working knowledge of Excel.

Casework/Architectural Millwork Estimator: (Contact: Robert Black robertblack@morrisblack.com)                                                         

Seeking individuals with minimum of 5 years’ estimating experience to perform takeoff services and pricing on commercial projects; Successful candidate must be proficient in interpreting specifications and reading architectural plans and should have practical knowledge of commercial casework/millwork and woodworking. Must have strong organizational, time management, and written skills and attention to detail, as well as a proven track record for meeting deadlines and handling multiple projects. Should possess strong computer skills and have a working knowledge of Excel and Word.

Seeking individuals, preferably with prior PM experience, to manage commercial casework/millwork projects. Successful candidate must be proficient in interpreting specifications and reading architectural plans and should have practical knowledge of commercial casework/millwork fabrication and general construction. Must have strong organizational, time management, and written skills and attention to detail, as well as a proven track record of meeting deadlines and handling multiple projects.

Seeking individuals to assist project managers in oversight of commercial casework/millwork projects; follow up with general contractors for shop drawings approval, change orders, and selections; assist with field measuring and templating; check jobsites for readiness; willing to train the right candidate, but some knowledge of casework fabrication, architectural woodwork/millwork and/or commercial construction would be helpful.  Should be experienced in blueprint reading; must be comfortable with computers and have knowledge of spreadsheets and Microsoft Word and Excel; must be a well organized multi-tasker and have strong communication skills.

Administration/General

Seeking responsible individual to work as delivery driver, warehouse man or delivery helper. Must have valid Class-C drivers license with clean record, ability to safely drive 26 ft straight truck and operate forklift. Ability to lift 75 lbs required. Successful candidate will be required to join Teamsters Union, if not already a member. Competitive wages and benefits.

Seeking professional to perform bookkeeping and office functions in a distribution/manufacturing environment.  Duties will include AIA billings, A/R, benefits administration and other HR activities; Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced office operation; 3 years office experience required; must be proficient in MS Excel and Access.

Seeking individual experienced in general office work to do Accounts Payable, some receptionist duties, and other administrative functions; minimum 24 hours per week, could increase to full time; Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with numbers.
