The wrought iron pendant lighting suspended over the kitchen island provides enough light to illuminate the entire room. This angle provides a beautiful view of the built in stainless steel refrigerator. The tall cabinets to the left of the refrigerator bring a sense of symmetry to the space.

Before Renovation: Once an outdated kitchen from a previous era, this kitchen has been transformed into a sophisticated cooking space. This traditional home had a lot space, perfect for family entertaining, but needed an update. Our designer, Lydia Bogle carefully considered the client’s needs in order to create the perfect kitchen.

“Subtle changes made a big difference. We moved the microwave to the appliance wall and relocated one of the ovens to the island, making room for cookbooks. A custom wood hood was installed over the cooktop, with a classic tile mural behind. A multi-level island allows the petite homeowner to roll out pastry comfortably, and includes room for casual breakfasts. The microwave and oven are stacked at eye level for ease of function. The island was narrowed, and the cabinets behind it were recessed to keep the aisles clear. Yorktowne cabinets painted Biscotti teamed with a neutral tile floor and granite created a classically timeless look.” –Lydia Bogle said about the Traditional Kitchen Design Allentown, PA
