A Legacy of Craftsmanship & Design

Our Beginnings

Morris Black & Sons began with a family seeking opportunity. In 1898, a Jewish family settled in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, including eleven-year-old Morris Black, whose determination and work ethic would shape the company’s future. In 1908, Morris bought a wagon and horses and began delivering building materials to local job sites, building a reputation for reliability and integrity.

Over time, the company grew through the Great Depression, two World Wars, and decades of change, expanding its products and services while holding fast to its core values of excellence, honesty, and trust. Each generation has continued that legacy by adapting, innovating, and growing into cabinetry, design, and millwork.

Then & Now

Continuing The Legacy

Over the decades, Morris Black expanded into kitchen design, cabinetry, architectural millwork, and commercial casework. What started as a building supply company evolved into a full-service provider of cabinetry and design solutions for both residential and commercial spaces.

Today, Morris Black Designs carries that legacy forward, combining generations of experience with modern design and advanced manufacturing. Now led by the fourth generation of the Black family, the company continues to build on a tradition of award-winning design and lasting relationships with the clients they serve.

Community Involvement

Rooted in the Communities We Serve

We take pride in being part of the communities we serve. From supporting local organizations to participating in initiatives that strengthen our neighborhoods, we believe great work extends beyond the spaces we design. It’s about building lasting relationships and giving back in meaningful ways.

St Luke’s SportsPlex Check-in Desk

As part of our commitment to community enrichment, Morris Black proudly donated the design, materials, and installation of a custom check-in desk for the St. Luke’s SportsPlex in Allentown—Lehigh Valley’s premier destination for pickleball, performance training and sports for all ages. Thoughtfully designed to welcome and serve guests with both beauty and functionality, the space reflects our dedication to purposeful design. This contribution supports a vibrant environment for youth athletics, adult recreation, wellness, and meaningful community connection.
