Morris Black and Sons, Inc. has collected the best recipes from clients, family and friends and compiled then into an attractive keepsake cookbook, available for a $16.95 donation to Valley Youth House, a non-profit organization serving children and families in the Lehigh Valley.
Morris Black is grateful for the many contributors who shared their family favorites and made this cookbook possible. The cookbook contains 300 well-loved recipes including appetizers, main dishes, desserts, food for kids and many others. Recipes include the contributors name, enabling you to find the recipes of family and friends. Inspirational stories about Valley Youth House clients and photos of Morris Black projects are also included. This one-of-a-kind cookbook can be purchased at the Morris Black showrooms in Allentown and Bartonsville, or at Valley Youth House in Allentown. Please bring cash or a check payable to "Valley Youth House". Morris Black has raised thousands of dollars to support Valley Youth House in its mission to aid local youth in becoming productive adults. All the money collected is a donation; Morris Black is not recouping the costs to print the book. In addition to the cookbook, Morris Black sponsored a Kitchen Tour in 2009 which enabled us to contribute $2900.00 to Valley Youth. Founded in 1973, Valley Youth House provides a first line of defense for the Lehigh Valley’s troubled young people and their families. Protection from abuse, neglect and family disintegration is achieved through a strategy involving prevention, crisis intervention, and long term help. The preservation of family life and the development of troubled young people into successful adults are also important agency goals. The organization is led by a thirty member Board of Directors. Services are provided by a professional staff, community volunteers, and student interns at schools, family homes, offices and residential facilities in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and Breinigsville, as well as Warminster in Bucks County and center city Philadelphia. Ninety-five percent of the youth and families come from Lehigh and Northampton Counties. |
