| The owners of this small dark kitchen wanted more space, more light, more storage, and a room that reflected the warmth and style of the rest of their home. The designer removed a wall, enlarged the kitchen by using an adjacent hallway, and added custom windows. The full height cabinets solved the storage problem, and a built-in table for two added a small eat-in area. By angling the sink, the designer gave the homeowner a view out the window and increased countertop space, including a ceramic shelf. The custom cabinets are in Cherry incorporating two complementary door styles. The kitchen features granite tops on the cabinets and table, and tile floor and backsplash. |
