Guest House Kitchen

Built in the 70s, this kitchen is located in the family’s guest house/cabana. They found themselves spending more and more time here in the summer, and needed more countertop and storage.
In order to maximize the space, the designer angled the major appliances into the corners, freeing up countertops on either side. Cabinets were extended to the ceiling, and a built-in refrigerator was added. A cabinet with a rolltop door was tucked into a otherwise inaccessible corner. Cherry cabinets with an opaque stain keep the room light, and granite tops and tile backsplashes make cleanup easy.
