Elegant Upgrade Part 2

The layout of this kitchen worked, but the owners wanted a more sophisticated look. The perimeter cabinets were replaced by raised panel doors in white paint with a brown glaze.
Visual interest was added by staggering the heights and depths of the wall cabinets. A custom wood hood supported by corbels calls attention to the stove. Notice the tile accents along the backsplash and behind the stove.
The island was replaced with a furniture-look baking center in maple with a Bristol stain, with corbels and Absolute Black granite with an ogee edge.
