Transitional Maple Kitchen in Allentown, PA
Design Information: This warm transitional maple kitchen in Allentown, PA is filled with lots of natural light. The homeowners gained valuable storage and a better traffic flow after renovation, plus an eat-in area on the island. Designer, Lydia Bogle added a countertop between the wall ovens and refrigerator creating the perfect space for a coffee station or dry bar. The maple Rutt Regency cabinets with full overlay transform this space into an efficient and beautiful kitchen. The backsplash was created with ceramic tiles in a crackle glazed finish.

The hardware in this transitional maple kitchen are Top Knobs in brushed satin nickel. The pendant lights suspended over the kitchen island add a pop of color to the warm space.
The base cabinets include rollout tray shelves, a lazy susan, spice drawer, pullout waste baskets, and hidden cutting board and knife block. The Island has an extended countertop for casual dining. The frosted glass doors over the microwave add a nice touch to the space.
The cabinets are Maple fill overlay with a contemporary flat molding and frosted glass in the accent wall cabinets. The eat-in island includes open shelves for display or storage of cookbooks.
Before Renovation: The previous kitchen was dark wood with soffits, and was dominated by a thick brick wall that divided the space in half by a peninsula with wall cabinets. Our designer, Lydia opened up the space and gave the homeowners a light-filled kitchen in the contemporary style that they adore.
